Learning about lifecycles is a critical way to help children learn about the world around them. When learning about the life cycle of living organisms, children begin to understand how things change and evolve. This week we learned about seeds, roots, the trunk of a tree, branches, and leaves.
APPLE SEED ART
What colors and shapes do you see in the photo? How do you think an apple grows? Will you cut the plate to make an apple core?
Experience Early Learning Curriculum provides these prompts with each project. This helps us dive deeper into what they are learning instead of completing an art project.
MY ORCHARD JOURNAL

MY ORCHARD JOURNAL
We love our journal’s my three and four-year-olds feel so big when I give them a journal. At first, when we started our Experience Early Learning Curriculum they could not do this and it was a mess. But now they know exactly what to do and can do independently. I love the growth I have seen in them It makes me so proud.

TREE SHAKER
This activity was our favorite this week. We collected branches, acorns, and several nature items then fastened our tree together. We danced around the park shaking our trees! While putting together our Tree Shaker we discussed why trees are so important and what we can do to protect them.

TABLETOP TREE SHAPES
We set out our shapes and let the kids decide what they were going to do. Some kids separated by color and some separated by shape. Eddie separated by color first then created his own patterns.
