When we travel there are many things that we need. This week we are learning about the many items that we would use traveling. We are also learning about Letter Gg! What a fun way to travel around the world safely. We talked about all the place we all have been and where we would want to go. This week with Experience Early Learning we are traveling to the great five wonders of the world. Places I might never see, I’m almost more excited than the kids!

MY SUITCASE
We invited our children to decorate with stickers and pretend to take a trip. We discussed who they might want to visit? And what they might take with them when they go.

SMALL GROUP LITERACY
WHOSE TICKET?
We enjoy talking about what letters are in our name?

CAMERA
We walked around our neighborhood pretending that we visited the zoo looking for wild animals. The children really enjoyed their cameras and a few of them brought them back the next day.

WOODEN AIRPLANE
We decided to paint our airplanes the kids could hardly wait to play with them and pretend they were flying to far away places.

TRAVEL JOURNAL
Most of my kids can now independantly work on their journal. They enjoy the feeling of being big and working on it by themselves. Experience Early Learning Curriculum gives children many ways to find success and work independantly. They are proud of their work.

CREATIVE ART – SWIRL WORLD DESIGNS
We decided to place paint on each plate and let our kiddos swirl the paint to make designs. I love how they turned out they look like the Earth. We mixed blue, green and lime green. We talked about how the blue would be the water and that green is the land.

SMALL GROUP MATH
We pretended that we were traveling around the world. I asked each child were they would like to visit. When we rolled the cube they were given the little people and were able to put on the map and tell all of us why they would like to visit there.
GLOBE STARTS WITH Gg

CREATIVE ART – MY WALLET
What would we put in our wallet. Some say toys others say money. We enjoyed making our wallets and pretending how we would spend the money inside. This activity was one of their favorites. Not one forgot to take their wallet home!

TABLE TOP MATH – SORTING COINS
We set out coins and talked about their value. We chose not to use the pictures we separated the coins then place them in the correct line. Experience Early Learning Curriculum provides us with daily discover bags. Many games, projects and art supplies are included.
