Art In England

This week we learned about Chalk Art, Stenciling, the Coat of Arms, Castle’s and Museum Days.  Not all art has to be one-dimensional and hang on a wall.  Make and Play art projects help children experience art in a different way by showing how art can be functional and fun to play with.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

We discussed what it might be like to draw on a sidewalk?  We wrote on our pretend sidewalk  with several different colors of chalk making different designs.

Chalk Marks

We put down number cards and practice writing the numbers and tallying the numbers with our chalk.

Our Community Challenge Circle Time

This week we talked about what do you call a friend? ,  Friend, Buddy, Pal.   I explained in England they speak English but use special words and phrases that are different than the ones we use in America.  I love when we talk about diversity with kids.  I feel it opens up understanding and tolerance.

Love Stencil

We practiced concepts of print  and visual arts.
