This book A Ride for Duck is great! The kids and I loved it so much we read it 3 times that day! I love our story time and the great books Mother Goose sends us and how it ties into our theme each month. When I get the school bus box (curriculum) that is what I look for first.
This months theme is Transportation. There are many modes of transportation that allow us to move from one part of the world to another, and learning about them is one the first things that little ones do as soon as they start communicating with their families.
CREATING OUR OWN ROADS
The kids were given sand, rocks, paper for roads and glue, I love how different they all look and the reasons they gave me to explain their design. When we are finished we will look for videos that pertain to what we are learning, and the kids loved watching the big trucks pave the roads.
